Steering wheel re trim

Has anyone had any experience getting a steering wheel re trimmed?

Is it worth it or not? If it is any recommendations?
Mines currently looking a bit shabby

I read of a chap on backroads who got a lovely job on a 3 series
but he sent it to the uk to get done proper
what type of wheel is it ?
Might be cheaper to buy a new one if aftermarket :thumbsup:

Alcantara, although it feels lovely with loads of grip, will get very tired and dirty looking before too long... Guy I knew in the NL Subaru Club had it done to his steering wheel (and flocked the dash etc)... was lovely initially, until the alcantara got dirty and tired within a few months (was light grey so maybe wrong colour).

Its a sparco. Dear enough to replace so thought I might go down this route.
Its done in suede and its gone real flat and crap looking.

Like the idea the idea of alcantara alright.

Dave do you have a number for the lad in waterford?

Was on to him earlier dec.

The pics look good alright but he doesn't do them himself.
He sends them away and takes 2 weeks.
 
have my old one lying around
but may be in Kilkenny
but can grab it of Joe at rolling road day if so

Bit of a delay but just got it back there. Done by Saranus in Waterford.

Went for leather in the end so its longer lasting. Have to say he done a savage job of it, pic doesn't do it justice.
