should this happen or not, or can any give a reason, my mate was driving down the country and the bottom pulley just fell off his scooby and the belts also, he,s just curious as to why this might happen?????? thanks..

ye he was havin probs with the clifford alarm, so the guy took it away, now that you mention it he said the car was,nt running right when he got it back, the inter cooler was loose and a few other things also, it might be the answer( possibly!!!)

Yeah when i got my car back from the guy who fitted my clifford the clutch fell out 2 days later. I have trust issues though when it comes to my car, but u never know how people treat other peoples car when the owner isnt in sight, also theres no way of proving anything.

Always take not of mileage when leaving your car in to get work done on it.
Especially when doing something like an alarm, no need to drive the car to test the work done.
This sounds a bit much but how many times have you said fook it and taken a car for a rip.
Can't be to carefull.

Seriously lads in fairness........... clutch failing and pulley falling is absolutely nothing to do with person fitting alarm........ thats a bit too 12 year old answer..............

Dave... its really sad what you're saying... I like Spain... and Spanish girls :>

back to the topic... I used to avoid leaving the car in garrage without my notice... if you know what I mean :ponder:

A vibration in the drivetrain would cause the Pulley to loosen. I had the same problem with a truck a few years ago.. although it didn't fall off I copped it in time.
Cheers
John

did the bolt through the pully sheer i find it very hard ta beleave that it just came off sum1 had to be at it if the bolt didnt sheer,r did the wooddruf key fall out these are things that have to be checked

not 100% sure of actual cause have,nt seen it yet to know, i know the alarm guy thing is a long shot, its just that there was some one workin on the car before hand.. not blaming no one , as i said only a slight possobility!!!!!!!!!!!!~
