what can i say about it, i dont think i really can say it in words.

I LOVE IT, that might do, but its not even close.

thank you damo @STREET PERFORMANCE for sorting and fitting it for me and pat herbourne for doing the mapping
and the mechanic (cant think of his name),
these lads no what there doing and well enjoyable watching what they do.
good bit of craic.

now i got it with anti-lag and launch control, but even without using these,
it has transformed my car from a strangeld turkey into an animal.

last night i drove down and only let it rip on the motorway.
it was away smoother up through the rev and way more poke in 4th and 5th gear.
i switched on the anti-lag a few times and got the  from a few and a few law byeding motorists gave me the  flash.
but all in all last nights drive home, i was well impressed.....(BUT WAS I WRONG).

what i mean by being wrong was when i took it for spin to night.
my 1st time doing this.
started by hitting the smil :)y switch ie. antlag,
set up the launch control.
let her rip..............oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh the power
spun all 4wheels taking off in the wet,
got grip and it took off like nothing i was in before.
compared to what it was it was bloody crazy.

id only recomend 3 things to anyone..subarus....simtek.....and surround sound.
:subaru:

well really anti-lag i was looking for, but motec and gems were the two i new about. as i no little about ecu,s,
just that my engine will blow if i dont map for the way that i drive.
apexi was what everyone recomended at the time when i was looking. but i really wanted that bit extra.
but motec and gems were too expensive for me.
so i came across autronic on few sites in the uk and the prices were faily resionable, but traveling to the uk and getting it done, i wouldnt be up for that.
so i put it out of my mind.
but i rang street performance one day and was talking to damo about going for 450bhp and what id needed to get there and was very helpful.
i told him i was intrested in anti-lag and he came up trumps with the simtek.
im not easly impressed but with this i was,

I got a tweak today for e5 on my b4..Pat is the man..pulls so much better on the first turbo..exactly the way i wanted it   big thanks to street performance and Pat

sorry for my ignorance but is this "FULL" anti lag or not ..... as in the full pop and bang hubba hubba stuff :dunno:

Hey lads, Good to hear your happy with the cars.

The anti lag is on a switch and Pat can dial it in as mild or wild as it needs be. All the SimTek's done this weekend etc where set up to take into account the turbo / manifoild life span, so as long as you havent got it on 24-7 they should be ok.

Damo

Thats what I was going to say to you, I did my thessis on anti-lag systems in rally cars and road cars, so I had to do a customer survey which included the UK and eire, and everyone I asked about it said and I quote 'conventional anti-lag will dramatically shorten the life of turbo, mani, and auxilliary pipe work'...! Which is understandable when mini explosions are taking place in the exhaust mani, or the throttle being jacked open all the time (cosworths) Just a thought

id only want it for rally weekend anyway, or goin past a church at mass time on sunday

Ha ha good stuff, Id say its some job hey, I know the feeling the four wheels spining, the g-force you feel when its taking off, only a :subaru: could give you that feeling

Hey Alan, to be fair the SimTek is one of the better ECU's on the market and has alot of features that other ones dont. Like being able get rid of the MAF sensor and per cylinder DET detection plus much more. Its a once off buy and you wont have to change ecu again and can run 250bhp to 600bhp no bother. Ive had one fitted to my own car at the weekend too :D Its very handy having the acctual mapping software here myself so I can monitor temps and all sorts of other stuff.

Here is a link to some threads on scooby net. If you pick through them there is some good info on them. Andy F and Bob Rawle have just come on board as official dealers, Andy has fitted one to his 22b and Bob to his own car.

Any chance of cutting & pasting the article, I'd love to have a read of this
