Strut brace query

Sunday Drivers
Was thinking of getting a strut brace. I'm driving a 1.6 hawkeye. I'm not going to be doing any boy racer stuff or tearing around roundabouts but would I feel a difference in day to day driving?

You would feel a difference it reduces body flex no matter car your driving..means you can corner harder

in theory correct,
in practice no difference.

No use having a solid car if he doesnt have the power to pull it through the corners.

Keep your money in my opinion.

go take your strut brace off and go for a spin and tell me you can feel a difference, yes it makes your car more solid to have it on but remove it you wont notice any difference what so ever.

Have you fitted a strut brace? Ive fitted themto my last 2 cars and they make a big difference I dont know where your getting that from..especially on a front wheel drive car

imo you wouldnt feel the difference with one on or off, if i were you i would lower your car and get an anti left kit and you would see a big difference, you wont get as much body roll and youll get a better steering feel and then the strut brace would help

but he can carry more speed through the corners..you dont need power for good cornering..the idea in cornering is to carry as much speed as you can with losing the line to oversteer or understeer and apply the power when you dont have to back of

day to day driving, no you wont feel any difference. When you are pushing her around corners is when you'll feel the difference. A good strut brace will limit the chassis flex and improve cornering ability. That being said, as was mentioned above, an ALK would be of more benefit now.

Unless of course, you want the strut brace to look nice in the engine bay

Subaru did away with strut braces on their sti's for newage models as there was so much more structural rigidity on the newer models.

Would suggest adding a strut brace is overkill in my opinion.
