What work are you looking to get done
from the beginning haha
driving one day last week noticed temp gauge rising pulled in within next 400 metres
mechanic had look said thermostat drove home started to go past 1/2 way as got in the driveway
next day checked the thermo
thermo wax had all melted and thermo was fuked
changed thermo reconnected pipe filled up some water+ coolant
had check engine light for coolant temp sensor so unplugged battery and made sure coolant system was full
put battery back on started it no check engine light now but starts to overheat after 10-15 mins and is building up pressure in the system
online lot people say their a nightmare for getting airlocked but mechanic reckons could be headgasket its done no more than a mile or two barely going to 3/4 temp before switched off and cooled down or could it be the coolant temp sensor after all ?
just need someone who knows their subarus well to do a full flush on the coolant system make sure bled proper etc and see if that resolves issue cause be cracking if headgasket went that easily
To be honest could be a few things Chances of it being a faulty sensor are very slim . Before it started overheating Was it checked for coolant regularly as in was it low . What klm are on the car. Has it had a timing belt or waterpump change at ant any stage do you know .
only have car 3 months had bit water and coolant put in day i got it
130,000 miles
tb done at 110,000 by a former member imagine he would have had water pump and that done aswell with it

thermo was all red from wax melting anyways
dont want to try diagnose it myself or run it again until in right hands
nah thats a friend im driving the blue 98 gt555 what about yourself dont see many scoobies down here that i dont know the owner of quite well!
tbh i wont be taking it to anyone except someone who knows them well im praying for an airlock haha

black sti dont think ive seen it unfortunately will keep my eyes peeled for ya from now on must get a look at this always loved the classics in black very agressive looking
scoobysub is going to come for a look this weekend and hopefully he can give me good news haha but ive money put aside now for the headgaskets just incase :/
