Taller intercooler vs thicker intercooler

Still trying to get a front mount intercooler sorted for the track car. Finding some conflicting information online.

Is a taller intercooler better than a thicker intercooler or vice versa?

Or does it make much of a difference?

Anyone any info or good sources of information, I want to do it once and try and get it as efficient as possible for track

Whatever gives the most surface area for heat transfer Jay on the area you’re fitting it
Measure the space height x width and then the thickest core you can fit

Didn't want to be asking aonghus 101 questions and the guys in the UK all run ebay intercoolers.

Don't want to go against what aonghus advised.
