hows it going everyone just thought i would stick this up here as i always liked the positive attitude this site had toward charity events......

my son taylor has been attending temple street hospital since he was a week old when he had been diagnosed with grade 5 kidney reflux...week after week he would get very sick and would end back in the hospital for another 5/6 days. and it had been like this up until about a year ago when he had to have an operation which seemed to have work great or so we thought until we started to bring him swimming in the local pool or when we went to the beach in the summer time....he started to get very sick again and was back in temple street again week after week....unknown to us what was causing him to get infections...thats when the doctors told us that we could not bring him swimming UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES....as with every infection he got it was decreasing his kidney function.....his right kidney only operates at 15% and his left on is at 75% so in the near future will probably need a kidney transplant .......and i cannot describe in words the work his team of doctors do it in just unbeliveable ...he is only 4 years of age and is actually on first NAME TERMS with all of his team of doctors its actually very funny lol....and i have always wanted to do something to just give a little bit back to the kidney unit for all the hard work and time they having giving my son........

so an oppertunity came up about 7 weeks ago that would let me give something back to them.......so i bit the bullet and said that i would do it......

so i am taking part in a white collar boxing night on the 1st of december in aid of temple street ....so myself and a few of the mates have committed ourselves and there is no turning back now.....my mate recently opened up a fitness centre on the kylemore road and this in is were we will be holding the event........so i have been trainging hard 3 nights a week the last 6 weeks to have myself upto some sort of fitness level to last the 3 rounds...
OUR GOAL IS THE REACH €6000 WITH ABSOLUTELY NO OVERHEADS........TO GO TOWARD MUCH NEEDED EQUIPMENT FOR THE KIDNEY UNIT..........

Fair play to you for looking to raise money in support of temple street. I'll absolutely support you by taking a ticket too.

My wifes little cousin had the same problem & was looked after in temple st too & they couldn't do enough for him. He had a transplant there about 4-5 years ago & hasn't looked back since, he's really thriving. He's 12 now & out playing football & golf like every other kid his age.

Hopefully your little fella has the same luck and you can move on :thumbsup:

prob wont make it , but il buy a ticket or make a donation as to not have an empty seat . if that makes sense , paypal preffered !

Cheers folks for the support have no PayPal account set up as of yet but I will set one up tonight. We were not expecting to get interest like we are we thought that it would be just Dublin based but we are getting requests from all The country so we are just getting on top Things. But for any one based in Dublin I can arrange a day were I can meet anyone that wants one
So I will put up details of PayPal tonight after some training

fair play john its a great cause and great to give something back to a hospital which gives so much help to kids,i doubt i'll make it but i will make a donation when you get the paypal address up as i wouldn't want to leave a seat vacant.I hope it goes well for ya man :thumbsup:
