I dont think the STi was ever brough into America because of strict emissions laws. They got the Normally Aspirated 2.5 litre RS Impreza to start with then in January 2001 at the Detroit Auto Show the turbocharged WRX Imprezaa was launched in America. It had a 2litre engine that made 227BHP @ 6000RPM. Torque was low at 217Ibft @ 4000RPM. 0 - 60 of 6.1 seconds.

well we do have the sti now.
It came here in 2003 or 2005 one of those two.
Do you know if the regulare 2.5 rs will still run a decent time.
