The Magic of Subaru

I had two magical Subaru moments today that really made me proud to own a Subaru. Really lightened my day and made me smile.

1. I was outside chatting to somebody standing beside my car during my break at work earlier. A couple of little lads came running over and started walking around the car. Their mother came over apologising. They were saying "When I grow up I want this car".

I opened the door for them and let them sit inside, raised up the seat as far as it could go. They were fascinated with the colour I suppose. Not everyday you see a blue and gold car on the road.

2. Was pulling out of my grandmothers house and a lad walking home from primary school was waiting to cross the gate in front of me. He signalled for me to continue out the gate but he was smiling and looking at the car. I pulled out on the road and changed gear fast so he could hear the sound. I looked in my rear view mirror and he was still smiling.

Good feeling that,

Had similar while back, say the kid was 6/7, turns to his mother and says it want a mad paddy car

Couldn't help but smile

They were pushing every button but I didn't care. Whatever makes the kids smile, that's why I really want to make Barretstown this year. Thankfully it's a Sunday so I have no work.

Bye far the best event we attend
A Genuinely Soul Touching Magical Experience
Deffo Make sure you do you wont Regret it

Def one of the best things about subaru ownership used to have it a lot with the ra especially when I had the scooby doo heads on the doors and barrettstown is the most rewarding thing I have ever done with the club the looks on the kids faces is something else

most mornings i wait the extra few minutes to leave for work as there is a montessori opposite my house , there in one little kid ,prob only about 4 ,who arrives in parents car and gets a thrill from me pulling out of the drive , and giving him a flash of the lights , a beep and he hasnt mastered the thumbs up yet , but he tries .

another time i was over at the beach when a woman approached me and asked if it was ok for her young son to take a pic of the car , sure ,no problem .

the innocence and exitement in their faces is reward enough .

also agree barretstown is a rewarding experience , but i dont do it for me !

As above barretstown is a truly rewarding experience and was my first time this year and won't be my last it was so funny when a little boy says you never told me you had guns lol I was p1ssing myself inside as I didn't want him thinking I was laughing at him as opposed to with him

Flat four burble is also scientifically proven to be a lullaby.

Mariuss loves Scally's TypeR. Got a great pic of him beside it down in Mondello.

Best compliment l got was a kid passing with his dad and he pointed at my car and said: dad look a formula 1 LOL

Have had it lots of times
cameras out ,tourists ,people egging you on ,school kids, mothers grabbing there kids staring at you in fear your going to run them over as you go bye at 10km per hour but bye far my best one is my Daughter Ciara
Last year I was collecting my son Christopher
i pull up in the school yard in the Scooby
My Daughters class are walking bye heading to the yard walking up the school hall
one kid looks out the window and goes" look at that car isn't it cool "
they all rush to the window
then Ciara says" that's my Dads car "
another Kid says "no it's not "
then they see my son Christopher get in who they know
and they all go "wow ohh cool, "etc.
and she tells me
the most" I love my self" most amazing kid in the class comes over to Ciara and goes "cool car Ciara "
and it totally made my Daughters Day
its moments like that I will Always Appreciate

MAGIC :subaru:

Something similar happened this morning, kid seen me turning the car in the drive to get out and waited at the gate , gave me the thumbs up and ran along side the car in slow moving traffic . Enjoyed it.
Usually everyone looks down their nose at the "boy racer car"

Got off work early yesterday and was stopped at a set of lights and there was a bunch of young lads about 10 or 11 waiting to cross the road. I could see them pointing at the car and heard one of them say "its a Scooby" was nice to be that grown up cause I was defo the same when I was a kid.

They continued to ask me to rev it, ha kids.......................of course I obliged.
