The dangerous ash from Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull volcano brought European air traffic to a halt. For a while, the skies over the north of Europe were almost empty of airplanes. Then, the ash went away and the beautiful mayhem resumed.

Any idea what kind of timescale that is based on Steve?? Some difference in air travel between start and finish.

I'd say thats over a couple of days. You can see towards the end (when things begin to get back to normal) when night and day travel is.
