The programmes will be aired 2 weeks after the event and take Friday evening primetime slots throughout Europe with EDC one week and Time Attack the following week. The programmes will also be repeated on weekends with various promotional advertisements on the channel throughout the week highlighting the viewing times.
The programmes will be aired throughout UK and *Europe to reach Motors TVs 16 million subscribing households.
Further details on exact programme timings and schedules will be released shortly.
Andy Barnes & Glen Horncastle issues a joint statement of the news:
"Its been a long time in the making and we have finally been able to have the UK and Europes No.1 Drift Championship put on air in the best possible way and more importantly when it was ready for International viewing. Also Motors TVs coverage of Time Attack demonstrates the momentum it has and the professional level that it has grown to in a short space of time, having its own half hour programme - its a huge step for the drivers, teams and the industry as a whole. Our choice of Motors TV was simple, as a petrol-head, you tune in and get exactly what you want to see - cars on track. The Motors TV coverage will now provide us with UK/Europe-wide awareness, in particular supporting and promoting our teams and drivers to the channels 16 million homes. Its a great step in the right direction and we are pleased to have teamed up with Motors TV knowing their enthusiasm for EDC and Time Attack which has proved crucial to our deal."
Motors TV Head of Programming & Acquisitions:
Drifting is one of the fastest growing sports on the motorsports scene and were delighted to enter this partnership with the highest level of competition in Europe. Our challenge will be to make it as entertaining on TV as it is in real, showing both the high level of skill needed and the atmosphere which is an unbelievable mix of professionalism, adrenalin and fun ! Im sure this is a great step forward for both Drifting and Time-Attack as well as a great opportunity for Motors TV to broaden its viewership.
