Clubman Class Roll Cage Dispensation
The organisers in consultation with our insurers have agreed that in certain circumstances, Clubman Class cars will be permitted to use a Roll Cage with a smaller diameter that that specified in the technical regulations.
In such a scenario, the Roll Cage will be required to be professionally constructed unit and ideally will have in excess of 6 mounting points in the car. The Roll Cage will need to be examined by the safety and eligibility scrutineers, whose decision shall be final in respect of whether the Roll Cage is permitted or not.
Any such Roll Cages can be inspected on the Time Attack introduction day at the circuit on March 8th, or in advance by special arrangement.
In addition, there is also a scrutiny day before the event to make sure that drivers can be registered and the cars looked at before the event.
Quote:
A pre championship information, registration and scrutiny day will take place on March 8th at Mondello Park.
Prospective competitors should arrive at the circuit in time for a 2:00pm briefing by circuit officials, who will explain the championship structure and format, along with entry and scrutiny procedures. In addition, we will introduce the championship and event officials to prospective competitors.
Prospective Competitors should bring their driving licences and they will have their photographs taken on the day for inclusion on their Time Attack registration card.
Their will be a limitation on the numbers of cars that can be run at Time Attack events and preference will be given to those people who pre-register on the day.
Competitors will also be able to have their cars checked over by the safety and eligibility scrutineers, who will be present on the day and will advise competitors of any potential problems which they need to address before the first event.
If you can, please pass the message onto people you know who will be interested in the event or would like to participate but weren't sure about the Cusco roll cages.
