Great they're back
The 80s hot hatch feature was good. I've had 3 Golf GTI s back in the day.

Lads, I was disappointed... all getting a bit old and whereas I love '80s hot hatches and typically can have a good laugh at the TG antics, last night just wasn't really all that funny and maybe even boring. Been done before and been done better... by the same folks. Hope next week is better!

Wasn't too bad but they really dragged the hole out of the show, can't believe they didn't actually test any of the new cars, really could have covered all that in 30 mins but I suppose it is what it is!

I taught they were goin to do a comparison of the older hatches against their modern equivalent

thats what it should have been Dec , to see if the new cars offer a better driving experience, or faster or whatever , they touched on the idea a few years ago with the cossie vrs frs , 205 gti vrs 206gti etc etc could have made a great show , even if hammond done everything a 17 year old would do if given a nova it was still lacking ,

Same as that. If they got a few mint examples of the cars they had and compare but no . Its not a show about cars really its an enterainment show. Any show could could that sort of thing really. Fifth gear is far better all in all

to be fair unless they bought good cars for 3-4 k each they were never going to be able to compete with there new modern equivalent so thats 10k they would have to spend on cars that were never going to be faster or better so what was the point trying so they bought sh*t boxs and wrecked them cost them 3k

true they could never compete. but it would be nice to see the way each car has evolved over the years.

also any of the owners clubs in the uk would have given them a loan of their cars for a few track and roads tests to actually compare them and not just wreck them

:snooty: i dont think so dec :snooty: there not very nice to other people's cars like the lancia kit car they got a lend of :facepalm

A bit of a let down i thought,Dragged the whole show out on one topic. Format a bit boring now i think,Maybe some fresh blood?
Fifth gear on the other hand has turned into a great show...
