I need a set of track tyres so looking for a second hand supplier if anyone knows of 1?

Checked donedeal and there's a couple of possibilities but haven't contacted anyone yet so said someone here might know a supplier.

Need 17" and preferably 235/40 but will consider 225 width or 45 height also

Are you interested in slicks? I have a guy with some available. This years tyres usually around half worn.

I'd prefer semi slicks that I could use in the wet as well but I'd definitely consider full slicks. What sort of price are they?

not trying to tread hijack

but i'd also be intrested in a set of 16" track tyres 205/50/16 if anyone has any for sale

Toyo R 888 is great on dry but useless on wet. Just like any slick. 12th of October , what are the chances for good weather? :ponder2:
An average road tyre way better on wet than slick . Wish I could have 2 sets for the day....

i disagree with ya man toyos are not useless in the wet its standing water they dont like, if it just wet they are grand and with mondello the track is very abrasive and doesnt hold water so even if its raining it will be grand ,any way with rain it will be a drift fest :icon_headbang: :multijump:

Stand corrected. My experience was, T1R proxys brilliant on wet but R888 worst than nankang.
Could be the different track?
Anyway if it's dry R888 is winner[/quote]

Michelin Pilot sport 3, absolutely no comparsion wet/dry, had a set of t1r's for a year and although they are a decent tire I wouldnt buy them again personally. Some people like them some people dont

Hopefully I can put them to good use, probably more then I need but fook it, in for a penny, in for a pound. Got your man to cut them so the pattern is extended to the edge so they can be used on a wet(ish) day. Exactly what I was after so at least I can use them all the time as long as there's no major standing water :653:
