I had Bridgestone Potenza reo 40's on my o3 sti now on the new one I have reo 70's I find them a very hard tyre as in the car tramlines alot.. there a great trye on a good road but sadly where I live good raods are few and far between. the 40's on the first sti I found very bad not as bad as the new one but maye difffernet suspension might have something to do with it.. just wondering what you guys put on your cars.. I'm looking for a good all round tyre.. I changed the 40's for hankook ventus sport 105 i think they were.. anyone recommend a good tyre

Goodyear Eagle F1's if you can still get them as they are being replaced by Good year Excellence i think. Had them on my Altezza and it was a lot harder to get the rear end to kick out with the F1's fitted!

Ive Dunlop P3000 on the back and seem pretty good. Some cheap shite on the front that came on the car, ok in the dry but scary in the wet.

I wouldn't get f1's if there are getting replaced soon!
Go for the T1R's  I've never heard a bad word said about them!

Had a fellow Altezza owner, that had a set of T1-Rs on his then when they were due to be replaced he went for the Eagle F1's, he said he wouldn't go back to the Toyo's. Had F1's on mine too so cant fault them either. I think Goodyear are just re-hashing all their brand names so eagle F1's a re now known as Excellence. Only bad thing i heard about the Toyos is, is that they are quite a soft compound which might wear quicker than usual.

One thing to be careful of with the Eagle F1s is that on some of the forums there have been warnings about making sure they are E-marked or something, I think some lower quality asian manufactured rubber was of a lower standard than those destined for the European market even though they were being sold under the Eagle F1 name. Can't remember specific details but a google search should bring it up.

Evo and Autocar did reviews here with the Eagle F1 coming out very well...
