tyres

Thanks lads
i was looking at these on camskill:
Continental ContiSportContact 5 Continental Conti Sport Contact 5 - 245/40 R18 93Y (AO) TL
but was thinking of going 45s instead of 40s for the extra comfort as some country roads aren't the smoothest.

Ran Conties before very good but thought they wore very quickly imo

Mabay they have changed recently

I had conti sport contact 3 on the bug wagon hated them, wore very quick and on a wet road very skittish,I would rate the good year a far better tyre all round

Have goodyear eagles on my DC5. Very good tire for the money. Great for daily driving and on track.

I'll be going for either Potenza re11 or advan AD08R next as they have a much stiffer sidewall.

Heard the new pilot sports 4 is suppose to be an excellent tire too

I haven't tried the contisports on a 4wd yet but i have them on my Golf Gti and don't rate them at all in the wet. I previously had uniroyal rainsport 3's on that and they were brilliant all round. I put them on my wifes car and find them brilliant. On the impreza i currently have potenza re001 and find them great previously I had federals which for the money were ok. As the car only gets dry roads now and occasional use i'm tempted to go for Nankang ns2-r's i had them on a skyline and the grip was fantastic and they were less skittish than r888's

Currently on vreadstein ultrac sessanta . Seem good so far but not alot of miles on them yet.

Previously had federal rsr 595 and would recommend them . Great all rounder . 150 ish a corner so not overly expensive

I have gone through 2 sets on Goodyear F1 asymetric Type 2 and have always rated them highly in Wet and dry. my 215/45/17 worked out at 150 a corner. Can be got cheaper on camskill and prob cost 15 a corner to put on by a garage.

Another vote for asym 2 F1 great tyre in all conditions and hard wearing.

Running RE070 Potenza on my 17's. Different animal altogether!

bridgestone Adrenalines 002. Awesome tyre, never slipped on wet. Have them over a year, and still performing like new. Once they are gone, I will get the same ones.

With my last car, I learned, that you dont want to experiment with tyres, and once u get used to proper tyres and the way they handle, you shouldnt change really

Was thinking maybe perilli p zero rossa tyres.
Getting a good price from local tyre centre.
There is a set of them on car already, but they are worn out and can't judge them.
They must have been on the car since new ad they are that worn ????

What did you pay for the Bridgestone adrenaline s002 tyre?

Hankook Ventus Evo V2. Great all rounder but I find them fantastic in wet conditions. I have 215/45/17 on my hawk. I just picked them up at my local garage for 100 a corner. Have seen them a dearer on other sites since. Here's a review.

I ran V12's on my DC5R and were brillant tyres, did 4 half track days aswell and they still had loads left on them when I sold that car, very good wear and grip, ill be getting them again for the STi next.
