Undersealing a car

Hi Lads

Thinking of getting the integra undersealed in the next month or 2. I have seen some companies just slopping on a black type of paste.

What would be the steps before hand to make sure its properly effective. Strip exhaust off, all underbody covers, degrease, clean, treat any small spots of rust and they put it on or is it a bigger job than this to get it done properly ?

All depends on time and money
I'll be getting mine done soon from Ciaran in asd for the simple reason he has ocd lol
No all joking aside I have looked at a few places and it ranges from 300 to 2K you get what you pay for
Good few of the people I talked to said shults (tick black stuff) is the worst thing to use and they don't touch it.
It chips and water can lodge under it and is will rust 10 times faster.
There is some amazing stuff on the market from 3m for doing this job but it all boils down to cost.
You need to get the car on a spit and flip it on its side strip and treat any problems and seal
Great video on you tube lads in UK doing an m3
I'll have a look and post it up

I know this is the extreme end of the underbody refresh but amazing job.

Jabbas Bmw m3 redish motor sport
Iys on YouTube can't post the link

Only just skimmed through it as I'm in work but that's an amazing job.

Its the type of job you would want someone with ocd to undertake. Ian in elite auto clean would be another good one if he does that type of service.

@Keith do you still want them gauges for your track car or did you get some sorted ?

Sorry man I just seen you pm
I got sorted ........well I think I did I got a knock off defi with 10 gauges in one I'll fit that and see if they are crap and you still have yours I'll take them if they are still for sale

Ah I wouldnt be looking for anything for them. Be happy to help out a fellow club member

10 gauges in one that sounds interesting. Where you come across that
