Unlock iphone 4 from vodafone

Hi lads, one of the girls in work is looking to get her phone unlocked so she can use a different sim in it, Is there an easy way you can do this yourself? She tried the online vodafone form but has yet to get a reply and is heading away on Wednesday. If anyone has done this themselves let me know.

She is probably best ringing vodafone.

or

Depending on what version iOS she is on, she could jailbreak it and do a carrier unlock.
 
its an apple / itunes - a request is sent. If Vodafone wont there are guys on ebay that do it for 40-70euro or Jailbreak it depending on the ios version
 
I don't think that vodafone will unlock it if it's still under contract because you are tied to them but if the contract has finished they are obliged to send you the code.
They unlocked mine i just had to give the IMIE number. You should speak to customer services.
 
its a pay as you go, guys in the shop said they cant help and when she rang up they said they cant help that you can only unlock it on the vodafone website which is what she has already requested. which was nearly two weeks ago at this stage i think.

She met all the eligibility requirements for receiving a NAC so not sure what the hold up is! stoopid vodafone!
 
You wont get a code. After an unlock request to put in, it goes to apple. You need to put another sim in and connect it to itunes. Only then will be unlocked. Itunes will not tell you your unlock is ready!! Just give it a try.
