Vehicle Tracking - Car Security

Hey Gents,

Couple (ok, a few) questions......

1. Just wondering about Vehicle Tracking - if there is any good company in Ireland who does it...??  How much...??  Does this lower insurance quotes...??
2. Anyone know a company who'd fit those metal park/lock security poles in your driveways...??

With close on 3500 stolen already in Q1 2007, I don't want to be part of the stats for 2007.

My solution to car theft: (You can see I've lived in South Africa most of my life)  :roll:

1. Buy wireless infra-red beams.
2. Buy motion sensor outdoor flood lighting.
3. Buy paintball gun, high velocity spring, bag of marble's/iron balls and red paintballs.
4. Setup wireless infra-red beams at entrance of your driveway, to pickup movement of intruder walking into your yard.
5. Setup motion senor outdoor flood lights to activate when beams are broken, and(or) motion sensor picks up movement in driveway.
6. Sand in spare room, open window (quitely) and monitor thief in driveway.  Once you have assured yourself it is a theif (who cares)......
7. Shoot the sh*t out of them with marble's/iron balls, from the paintball gun, installed with high velocity spring.  :shoot:
8. And shout while shooting, "YOU WANT SOME, COME AND GET SOME......."  :angry:
9. When they run off, patting themselves for injuries, hopefully the red paintballs included in the arsenal, would give them a sense of truly being shot during their panic.

Anyone know a company who'd clean/treat cars for rust - under side of car, floor boards, engine bay, etc...??

The reason for the paintball gun is, you don't need a license - and with high velocity springs - you can get it up to 1200 feet a second. :thumbsup: Mission in my madness.

:thumbsup:with reference to your intention to give your car some rust prevention treatment, Give HUZZY a shout he's a member, he did his typre r impreza recently with a type of wax spray, looks like it'll stand the test of time too! saw it the other night when he was checking out a problem in my car, and its not sticky or greasy........ i think its called waxol or something like that, he'll put ya right anyway!

I'm with cell track phone and internet tracking, it cost 180 euro a year not sure how much to fit as it was in my car when I got it. A po;e is your only man for a deterant, My dad got me mine out of work and I fitted it myself but there's a steal fabricater up the road from me I' ll get you his number, he might be able to help you. The number for Cell track at home to so i'll get that for you and post it later. :thumbsup: :subaru:

You a Subaru driver - it's tough being the ENVY of everyone else - as they say, "Jealousy makes you nasty". I guess we'll just have to live with people's envy and jealousy.

The Tracker was fitted into my car by Lawless Automotive Ltd, Ph 01-4735317 that was in 2003 not sure if they are still around. There in the KCR industrial Estate, Dublin
Here's the number of the Steel fabricator that lives up my way, Ph 01-4602820 ( Finnegan Steel Fabrications.) They might be able to help. :pray: :subaru:
 
Got this from one of the lads just there, www.motovation.ie Ring and ask for a lad called Fergal on 0857255675, he does alarms from €250 Euro to €850 depending on hoiw much you want to spend. clifford installer. email info@motovation.ie He does sat-nav to tracking systems, Pagers etc. Hope this helps. :thumbsup: :subaru:
