Norris your always on about things being too big and not lasting long enough. I think you should talk to Pele. When I seen his ad I made the call and things have been going fantastic since  :nana:

I brought in a impreza from N.I and when I changed it to an Irish plate. Everyone said I should of got a yellow plate. It looks well on a black car. :headbanger:

Why would you put a yellow reg on a an irish car???

most lads living on the boarder do this... lately prob just think looks better... but in the times of the troubles it was classed safer as you wouldn't stand out a miles away as a southener..

Yea I especially noticed that last week when I was in donegal. Not into it at all personally but I suppose it makes sense from what Dave says bout it being safer.
I felt like I stood out like a sore tumb when we drove over to Fermanagh with the D plate.

We (girlfriend and myself) went into a Clothes Shop in Eniskillen and when the girls workin there heard us talkin they ignored us and were very rude when we went to pay. Then were as nice as pie to the next customer who was from the area. Prob just a once off but thats the experience we left with...

i think most of this does be in peoples heads... people look into stuff more when they are on the look out for it..

I'm from Fermanagh & the staff you met were probably from Enniskillen itself . A lot of people from there have a snobbish attitude toward any 'outsiders' , even folks from the country areas of Fermanagh . Which shop was it ?

If you think they're bad in the shops you should try to chat them up in the pub . :noway:

Enniskillen people should be grateful for the southern trade . Safeways ( now Asda ) in Erneside shopping centre had the largest turnover in the UK out of all stores , largely due to cross-border trade . For a while they were giving £ for € , thus giving a 35% discount & a lot of us Northerners were doing their shopping using Euro . :D You only had to go in around Xmas to see the vast quantities of booze being bought . I saw 2 guys buying a whole pallet of beer & taking it out to a southern reg van a trolley full at a time . :guinness:
