Mate of mine roasted his Octavia VRS enigne and is in need for a new one :doh:

Anyone any ideas on where to pick one up?? :ponder2:

them engines gave trouble so they can be hard to locate in scrapyards

Normally handy engines !! he must have been driving her hard.

Interesting you should say that, he said he hit a bump a bit hard and then the day after the oil light started flashing in the dash, he checked it on some forums and a flashing oil light meant faulty sensor. The sensor is the lowest thing on the car, sticking out from under the sump.

@ ckay, had it mapped to over 200hp, more boost. Nothing too drastic though as the standard map is 180hp. Doesn;t drive her too hard, likes the low revs for the savage torque
