Washing machine trouble

Hi lads washing machine not running power is on buy nothing happens checked filter was ok pull it out and found this the end of the long bolt has snaped off any ideas is it worth taking the back off machine and trying to retreve broken peice and replace anyone know the function of this peice?..

that's the travel brackets that need to be removed before use, they hold the drum in place during transport you might of just messed up the whole machine, only way to know is to open it up yourself or get someone in to look at it
 
How long has the machine been running with that in place, if it is the travel bolt there will be one or two others depending on the machine?
 
ok lads the machine is 6 years old so i guess thats not what the trouble is with so been working fine up till yesterday just first thing i saw when i pulled it

the machine is not filling with water sounds like it doing something but no water checked filter as i said shur ill take the back off it tomoro cheers lads :thumbsup:
 
I'd say there is something blocked in your pump if it is not filling,you should be able too get at the pump from underneath the machine,pull the pipes of it and check inside the pump rotors normally a coin or two wedged in there.
I'm an electrician and I have seen this quite a bit.
