Who does this kinda thing

why any private cars live inside is a mystry to me . should be driven !

i think it great and ill tell you why.

there's thousands of cars out there that get the ass driving out of them and crashed, smashed and abused, then broke by a breakers never to be seen again.

i here it all the time over on the octane site " thats a waist of a car" but in years to come and even now, i would appreciate looking over this car and any genuine low milage car at a car show that is standard. like seeing a genuine mk2 escort at a classic show.

I agree Johnny... I'd do this if I had the money. :subaru: You have to appreciate concours cars like these even if they are performance cars.

Nothing better than looking over a low mileage, minter!! :shock2:

Fair enough its in factory fresh condition but what is the point of a performance car that sits still the whole time , it defeats its purpose ,id much rather see a car with 20k on the clock thats been used for a weekend car in the dry summer months,

More surprised at the model he choose really...I'd expect a P1, 22b or a RB320 to be kept under wraps

tommy, as you know i love the track and driving hard but there is thousands of subarus out there been driven that way, but its always nice to see a bog standard low milage car, if every subaru was like this i would be going mad, saying, thats a waist of a car, get out there and drive it.

how many standard performance subaru's with less that 20k on the clock will be left in ireland in 10 or 15 years time none is my guess so its great to see some being kept alive to try and stay the distance of vintage which being honest most wont ever see .

my boss has a 1995 escort cosworth in the show room with 25,000 genuine miles it would do ya good lookin at it he also has an rs2000 1992 with 40,000 on both pristine and its people like that who will be driving a peice of history in a few years and we could be tryin to explain to our grand kids how we used to drive cars with 300 hp petrol engines and they will be drivin sh*t box hybrids or electric cars these are the cars that will be at vintage shows and we will be drooling over them wether it be a wrx,p1,sti,cossie,evo etc, they could ask thier price for it because 98% of scoobies and cars like them are goin to the crusher that is a fact and we all know it

I agree with duff man ,there are plenty of cars out there for hammering , I think in 10 yrs there won't be many of today's cars left , most cars don't make it over 10/11 years before there off the road, scrap page deals etc and cheap road tax from 2008 on is going to have a big effect on performance cars in the future not to mention the speed vans and cost of fuel

I enjoy looking at garage queens ,( I am guilty of hoarding ) and how many of us wish we had kept a mk2 or the likes when they were cheap and plentiful ,today a very low mileage escort rs2000 is worth as much as a very low milage escort mk2 sport but when they were new the difference would be the same as wrx and sti but after a period of time the difference becomes less significant
