Is that the replacement for vista??
[/quote]

Yup its the new windows coming out towards the end of the year. The backend is based on Windows XP. So it is very stable. Unlike Vista LOL

Stephen.

I have no problems with vista..you just need to give it enough juice and it flys..people just don't like change.

I had no problems with Vista either when I used it. As Dagnut says give it enough juice and it flies.

I switched to a MacBook Pro and will never use Windows again.

Can't really rely on a macbook for work purposes, i went through 2 in 6 months. better stuff out there for that kind of money. They are pretty though

The problem is with windows minimum requirmetns for running it..its always been the same with microsfot..they say minimum is 1 GB ram...so all the latop makes release ther latops with 1 gb..the Minimum requirments for vista is 2gb if you doing anything with overheads its 3..mine runs 4gb and eats Servers in here with 2003 and Zeon chips.
The minimum requiremntrs for XP are 128MB of Ram try runing your XP box on 128mb of ram it will sh*t its self..With VISTA running 1 GB I recommend you turn the video resolution down and adjust it for best performance not appearance as is default.
I guarantee the minimum requirements are 1 GB for windows 7 BUT by default it will run lower video resolution.

ram upgrades a very cheap these days too, 30 euro could get you 2 x 2gb sticks. 4gb of ram will handle most situations for the average user
