Terrible, I dont really get these scrappage schemes! How much co2 is produced when building a new car and scrapping a 10 yr old one, would it not be better to keep a car on the road for longer. I know theres the issue of helping to save jobs in new car sales but wouldn't there be jobs in the maintainance of cars. I may be a bit of a cynic but I reckon that the scrappage scheme in irl is more about revenue collection that reducing co2 or maintaining jobs. All it seems to do is say that in ten yrs time your car is worth a grand regardless of original purchase price, maintainence record etc hightening the already ridiculous depreciation rate of new/nearly new cars. :angry1:

Can you imagine the choice of car stereo's, plus bits and pieces!
for the lads working there.
 
It's disgraceful, so many good cars, as above, the amount of revenue from VRT is the driving force me thinks!

Its a toyota alright but its not a AE86, its a AE82 corrolla csx liftback :thumbsup:
 
I see the parking started out all nice and neat and then it just went to sh*t :lol: :lol: :lol:

Cars were being scrapped quicker than they could park them :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
The government should be allowed to either re-sell them or break them to generate revenue, I can't imagine they'd make much back from the scrap metal :icon_rolleyes:
 
Be realistic lads what are they going to do with them? we have too much sh!t it needs to be recycled, old cars are dangerous and inefficient, hate to be the voice of reason but be honest if someone said to you "do you want this fiat coupe for free?" would you take it? would you have room for it?
My dream is too have a big shed full of old sh!t and useless junk but its not realistic.
You can be sure as fcuk most people in England have no room for them, there's 20 million cars in Britain...20 million
