You just never know, do you!

This kind of accident used to be all too common in this country aswell.... You where driving down the road (dual carriageway) and next thing there is someone sliding towards you in the oposite carriageway.
This is why all motorways and dual carriageways now have barriers between the traffic in oposite directions, And also why the likes of the M50 and N7 are being upgraded (improved safety standards).

Its a scarey thought that you could be drivin like Miss Daisy's Cheaufer and someone hits you head on after comin from the other side of the road.....

Hope noone was killed in that...... Probably saved by the fact they where in a Van at a higher seating position

2 accidents where cars lost control and went over the other side of the M1 a few years back near where I live. They went through that fishing line they call a safety barrier like it wasnt even there. Thank god someone had the cop on to do it right with the M50 upgrade this time

As Traffic Safety Control Officer for the M50 its partly my responsibility to ensure this type of accident does not / cannot happen on the M50.

The Briffen Wire Rope barriers on the M1 are currently being phased out and its very unlikely they will be seen again on any new / upgraded stretch of road.

Jaysus,
There is nothing he could have done to avoid that!
