Track day car

I'll know in about 30mins just cleaning the garage!
Then it's time for a test drive.
It's starts and selects gears so it's a good start.

Well just had my test drive and I'm very happy it's a much better ratio,I'm grabbing 4th before I hit 80 which would normally happen around 85,and it's still pulling strong in 4th.
All going well this should get me to 100mph+ on the straights rather than 95.
Gearbox is nice and quite no scary grinding so all and all this job was a success'just hope the stop watch agrees[emoji1][emoji106]

Cheers it's a cheap fix for now I'd love to get a nice rallye box with lsd but this is still a shoe string budget[emoji30]

Board cleaning the garage so I fitted a bit of rubber profile around my newly gutted boot lid.

Found a nice new steering wheel on adverts today just couldn't pass it,I was keeping an eye out for a deep dish to get the wheel closer to me for more control.

Doing a bit of prep work this evening for a rally sprint in Galway at the weekend.

Passenger seat and belts fitted as this is a requirement for rally sprints to stay in rally car class.

New brake pads fitted as these have seen better days'but in fairness these done two track days and one round of time attack.

Few more bits to do during the week,I need to fit a new coolent temp sensor and do a coolent flush while I'm at it.
It will be interesting to see how it go's with the new gearbox,it should suite the kart track at Pallas..

Fitted a new coolent temp sensor today to see if I can sort out a slight hunting idle problem,but still no joy think it could be the ICV but it won't be a problem for the weekend.Got some more test runs done with Dec to bed in brakes and and check gearbox,I seem to have gained 10/15 mph on my normal "test area" so this should help on track.Cheers for the help this evening Dec after some more research it could be that stepper Motor on the ICV,very like it when the idle was good when plugged out.

The box made a great difference in the midrange from 2nd to 4th it's a lot quicker up the Rev range than it was, hopefully the icv will sort it but I wouldn't worry too much you won't need it to idle well when racing ????
