Hi I'm a new member and I have never owned a subaru but I am interested in getting one. I currently have a Nissan silvia s14 but it's not ideal as a daily driver for me because I live in the wicklow mountains , I've always loved the legacy gtb , maybe I could get some advice on what to look for when I go to buy one .

Would say an s14 could be fun on the wicklow mountain roads over winter .

Service history and mapping are the major things to be looking for and get the car checked over by a man that knows scoobys before parting with the cash

Ye the s14 is fun alright ???? do they require different ecu for mapping ?

Depends on which car you buy . Some are mapable some aren't .

Traders on here are wealth of info on which does and doesn't

99 onward generation 3 gtbs can be mapped alright.

I've been looking around for a gtb for while and they have been going for 3500 to 4500 and most are automatic ,
would probably be better to import one

Ye I seen that ,it's single turbo and different engine, I seen on an old Facebook post that it was ej25 but the add says 2 ltr so not sure ill look into in more
