Popped in to Murrays last weekend to pick up some octane booster to tide me over until my NF landed.

Next thing there's a pair of seats and harnesses being loaded in to the car. Don't remember a thing. :roll:

Spotted this piece of JDM utter porn, brand new, sat for years in a garage and only 30 odd miles away lol.. I couldn?t beleive my luck. Will fit it to the RA, just need to get a new filter as original has disintegrated in storage, looking forward to hearing the sound difference....

Picked this up last week for a few bits to tidy up my own wagon and to get hands on without being afraid of damaging something expensive.

not getting too much time at stripping it with storm Ciara last week and another storm this weekend.Really enjoying taking it apart,learned so much in the past week.

Bought it with bottom end gone and no log book as it was stolen recovered.

Messed around for a couple of hours at the ARC air box,
I?m not blown away by it, thought I would of liked it more, think I preferred the OEM look.

Being honest I like it, but I think I see where your coming from, it's kinda the only polished thing in the engine bay, maybe if you had a polished pulley cover or the ZERO/SPORTS intake elbow or something it wouldn't stand out to you as much.
But me, I do like it. Adds a nice touch I think. If it was me, I'd keep it ????????

I only had it running in the garage, so untill I drive it I have not heard much Difference in it.

You could be right about needing more bits around the bay.
 
Doesn't look great even the fly on the header tank is unimpressed :icon_grin: . Is it getting you more air or keeping it cooler if not I'd change back to standard . I have an ams carbon intake and carbon inner wing Intake and they make very little differance but look a little fancier is all

It?s only really a JDM look thing, performance wise I wouldn?t be expecting anything really lol, if it sounded nice that would be the bonus point, they usually go hand in hand with other bits from ARC like alternator cover or cooling panel... so my engine bay possibly is a bit bland, pic for reference

New Garrett intercooler core picked up today from Api in Dublin .
Just waiting on the end tanks to arrive and get them welded on

Your on a slippery slope now fella , before you know it you will be polishing the engine bay components :icon_grin:

Be interest to see if the shoulders of the seat fit, as the pillars tend to be narrow on the impreza.
