Friendly reminder to maintain your diffs.....đŸ”„đŸ˜­

The diff is fairly close to the fuel tank so if it wasn’t the diff you can be sure it was the latter
 
I'm wondering if it had something to do with the heat from the exhaust. I was plagued with leaks so recently got all new gaskets in her and finally all the fumes out the back. Only change I can think of.
I don't think it was the tank. Had just filled up so would have been some hell of a bang if that was the issue.
When I got the extinguisher on it at the start it seems to be the diff and diff bushings on fire but it was a bit of a blur after the adrenaline wore off đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž
 
Could be or a fuel leak ?
I wonder would a bad bearing in the diff cause it , possibly if there was no oil due to a leak

Don't think a fuel leak because I would have noticed where I park it.
Never noticed any leaks around the diif and oil was done 2-3 years 20k km ago.

So random!
