Steering rack forester sg

Anyone breaking a forester sg? I’m looking for a steering rack, car is 2004 2.0 xt , I’ve been reading Impreza blob eye wrx or sti will also fit . I’ve seen repair kits advertised, anyone have any experience using them. I have some play in the rack , it’s not very bad but steering a bit vague.

There were two up in Kellys breaker's in Kildare when I was there about a month ago, be worth giving them a shout. There was a black 2.5 which was in decent condition

Maybe no use to you but I’d my rack done by driveshaft services when I was rebuilding my engine, had the usual leaks.

Was around 340 to overhaul it.
Still perfect a few years later.

I was in touch with them about a replacement and they did offer to rebuild my own, I might go this route.
