Bulb & Radiator Questions

Hey all.
Although new, I’m sure I’m getting annoying with the amount of questions I have, so sorry about that ☺️.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions about bits and pieces I need.

For example, the bulbs are gone out in the temp and fuel gage in the cluster, and I want to just replace them all, with a similar bulb.
So I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’ll give it a go, I just have no idea what ones I should get? I’m just looking bog standard, but I suppose I should replace them all just so as to not have them at all different levels of brightness. Hopefully it’s something that I can just buy cheap in Halfords like, I just don’t want to go and take out the instrument panel without being able to replace them. It’d be nice to not have to have the torch in the car to check if I’ve enough petrol to get home or not 😂.

So yeah, hopefully one of you could point us in the right direction as I’m fairly wet behind the ears.
And hopefully this is posted in the right thread and I’m not annoying anyone.
☺️
Thanks,
Robbie

Few lads have done this alright. I've no experience with a classic tho but someone will point you in the right direction, handy enough to do 💯

And sorry to everyone that I’ll be annoying with all of my nonsense.
I’m a mentally ill over excited child who has finally gotten a scooby.
And I’ve just got thousands of questions.
Thanks in advance to everyone for all the help they have given me, and I’m sure will give me.
And just sorry in advance.
😂

I replaced all mine with Led, has a mix of T5 and T10 sized bulbs. Forester but I'd say probably be the same in yours. They were cheap online anyway so if they're wrong you'll lose a tenner at most. I found the leds great but had to change for different ones initially as the first set I got were way too bright. Motor factors should have the regular bulbs as well for cheap.
Changing them is very simple, pull out the instrument cluster, bulbs have little plastic holders screwed in sticking out at the back just pull them out and pop in the new bulb. If yer paranoid about blowing something disconnect yer battery first, I didn't bother personally.

Back of the cluster and bulb holder pics there in case they're useful

Dont be apologising man, we've all had our first subaru at some point, and as with any car, there is a lot of learning and how to etc
I still remember when I got my first, Blitzen Legacy, and I had that thing ripped apart so many times lol
Not engine wise, but I had stripped the interior and changing bits and bobs, it's all great learning.

Thanks so much man.
This is so helpful.
I’m just gonna try and have it as stock as possible.
Just want to fix the busted ones and have them all the same brightness.
Thanks for your help.
I’m at least a bit more confident heading to somewhere like Halfords now
:)

Thanks for the kind words man.
Catholic guilt is a hoour

so, with all your patience lads,
Would any of you have any idea what radiator id need?
It is completely gone, just not leaking yet thankfully.
It’s a very old Calsonic,
And I just want to replace it like for like or whatever the basic new variant will do the job.
I’m not gonna be tuning it or doing anything mad.
It’s a 2 Liter non turbo 2000 GC8 Impreza Sport.

Thanks

Any good motor factors will get one, or micks garage, winparts , auto doc.
Thanks,
But I’m struggling to confirm what one I need, cos with auto doc and nicks garage, they can’t confirm my GC8 cos it’s a lesser known sport uk spec made for only 1 year.
And I’m very unconfident about everything.
I’ve no money really and I don’t want to waste it on one that’s not right?
I dunno, I’m just scared
😅

For the rad worth giving Finnegans in Ballymahon a shout, ex subaru dealer now motor factors. and the guy in parts there knows his stuff. I have an oddball rad in mine (it's usually in autos not manual like mine), he got me sorted

Is it 125 hp and does it have aircon.
Sorry for being an idiot.
I have no idea what brake it is, it has a heater control that you can switch to cool air, but I’m not sure if you’d call it air con.
Sorry for being so unhelpful, I’m new to this
Thanks

Basically, Impreza 2.0i AWD with ~113bhp
Thanks man.
But how did you know which one?IMG_6443.png
So that’s what the legacy site gave me, but on auto doc there’s three options.
What’s the difference between the 2 liter and the 2.0 i?
And then if mines an i, how could I find out which one it is? There’s only a 10bhp difference but I think mine was only made from the year 99 to 2000.
Sorry for all the questions.
Just interested
Thanks everyone

The 276bhp (280PS) is the turbo model, so think STi models.
2.0 i AWD is based off the 2L natuarally aspirated info on LegacyPic, there's little to no difference, though I say the 125PS model has aircon. From the pictures, you don't have an aircon condenser at the front of your rad
