Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

Is this the car with the defi gauges mounted in front of the passenger where the airbag or glovebox top pocket would normally be?

Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

It is indeed brian, small world, how do you know the car? :ponder2:

Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

Was owned by a previous club member called Vans.

I rang him about that car about 2 years ago as I was seriously considering buying it, he'd already sold it but said the car was absolutely perfect when he owned it.

Sweetest looking type r I've ever seen but the hassle of moving up from my own 99 to a 00 put me off in the end....still regret not buying it though :wall:

Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

Totally off topic so I apologise....

What does the sensor that is plugged into the side of the air box do? (The one just to the right of the water spray bottle? There is a sensor plugged into the right side of that)

andy i think thats the "air intake temp sensor"

Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

ah right thanks lads. I was just wondering if doing the resonator removal mod would affect that sensor at all in a bad way??

out the road from you.

Re: 00 (Blue) STI tyre R for sale

No andy, i have never seen any adverse affects from leaving it out, i usually leave it plugged in and left in valance somewhere if using induction kit etc etc, but no need for it really,
