Hi lads ive replaced the front links and tie rods but I still hear a light knock.on the passenger side going over bumps which there is a lot of in cavan!!! Any ideas what else this could be?
 
i have a small knock on mine, had it forever, gave up looking a loooooooooooooong time ago :icon_biggrin:

sure its not the Bilstien ??
 
I dont kno what it is its like a bad link but links are ok, really only hear it goin handy...
 
Is that the rubber mount each side of the engine. Bay,do you need to take the whole shock out to change it? How much would a mount cost from motor factors?
 
ok if its a rubber mount like you described then you more than likely have stock top mounts and i doubt they would be what is making the noise, if you had aftermarket or upgraded top mounts then i would say have a look at those for the noise. they are not worth changing unless you are 110% that they are making the noise.

ok thanks lads,they are standard mounts, its possible the arb on the passenger side is makin the noise as i know it is worn for a long time now,ill change them first anyway! what is the correct size?is it 19/20mm???
 
I relpaced the links and tierods 3 months ago its not them,but my mechanic showed me a badly worn arb on the front passenger side where the slight knocks comes from so could be them!gona order some from motor factors tomorow
