Try ARB Insurance - that's who insured it for me. (A R Brassington & Company Limited, trading as Quickcover.ie). The mainstream insurers are NOT interested in high risk insurances - they make enough money on hundreds of thousands of bog standard A-B cars to be interested... you need to go to the specialist insurers.

What age are you? I think that is one of the main things insurers look for when deciding...

Regrettably I'm only 23, 3 years NCB, licence for 4 years

Currently driving a B4! Which incidentally is more powerful, a import and worth more! CRAZY!

Did you try ARB yet? I also know a girl working in a specialist car insurance firm that quotes people who can't get insured anywhere else. It is cheap enough but the catch is the excess on policy is huge (like thousands) so basically nothing is covered in accident, but you legally have insurance :hammerhead:

I'm at work at the month but I will give them a ring tomorrow!

What's the name of the other place? To be fair I think if I ever crashed I'd never claim as my NCB is like a child to a young driver hahah

She just replied to my question - apparently they don't quote anyone under the age of 25 which kind of sucks but it appears under 25s are too risky :icon_hang:

Tax is most likely up by now yes.

I haven't driven it in a while - I used to give it a run every week or two to keep battery going but then realised this wasn't enough to keep battery charged so removed it and am periodically charging it using battery charger I bought in the house.

Must take new picture of radio...

Yea ring your insurance company and fudge them with this... Tell them your a 98 year old male with a FULL no claims bonus, tell them your having an END of life crisis and you wish to fulfill your dreams by buying a very fast car from a lad off ISDC for 5-6k.. when they ask if you have any medical history say NO (not since you had a heart attack after been caught by GARDAI having a threesome with two 18 year old women in the back seat of the car that you now intending on buying). When asked if you take drugs say NO not unless they class viagra as drugs but explain to them, that you only take them to stop you rolling out of the bed.

If they ask if the vehicle is modified in any way say no and DO NOT tell them you intend on putting a Nitrous Oxide kit in the boot, for when your overtaking at 200kmh. If they ask if you have a car alarm say no they are useless, because you lost your hearing 10 years ago

When you get accepted and quoted they will ask how you intend on paying for the policy. At this point you can say that you will drop into them on thursday afternoon after you leave woodies diy (because you go there every week to avail of your 10% OAP discount, to buy pot plants and other useless CRAP objects)

Other than that tell them its a grand clean car :multijump:
