as above lads the brother's looking at one 02 one with 80.000 miles on it 2 years test 2200 . anyone know anything about them good or bad are the hard on petrol or what .

hes looking for something small enough as a second car will be doing long runs . but any small diesel's for sale have 150-200 thousand miles on them. thats whey he's thinking petrol the buget is 2500 max and small tax thats why he was looking at 1.4 . what do you recommend

I'd say it's a bit expensive, i would have thought they where nearer the 1,500 mark.
A friend had the good condition diesel one a short while back for the 3keuro mark and found it difficult to sell.

I was in the same position myself at the end of 2011 and i got a 1.4 2003 Renault megan, tax, test and new tyres for 1,500euro. Year and a half later and 19,000miles done, i've serviced it once and never a problem. They get bad press but better Value IMO. Just worth considering.

thanks lads it wont be a renault anyway 1 is enough in a lifetime . i.m trying to get him to go 1.9 octaiva or the likes diesel but all im hearing is tax :icon_blahblah: :icon_blahblah: :icon_blahblah: 700 euros but i think it would be paid for after a month so going to wait and see whats out there
