18 Inch Tyre Pressure, What's recommended?

Aaron

Petrolheads
Got 18" on my 05 WRX
tyres: 225/40 R18

The Garage put it to 30psi its comfortable

Someone told me to put them to 32psi Front and Rear but now would its harder on the road when going over bumps and good bit harder

i think i will put it back to 30psi

Any suggestions for tyre pressure? Or what they should be set too? is 30psi too low?

I do 32 in front, 30 in back. Some people put more in than that. What ever suits you really. If you like 30 go with that

32 all round in mine , i have same size tyres , i find if i have any less the handling feels sloppy and any more is fairly solid

I have 30 psi all round, I do drive hard so as tyre temps rise, so does pressure! on 235/45/18

Actually Dan the opposite is true! As the tyre temps rise the tyre expand reducing tyre pressure!

I run 36 all round on my 215/35/18 because with standard suspension and such a low profile it allows the suspension to take the bumps and not damage an alloy on potholed roads
