2.5L STI or WRX Engine

Unfortunately, my old engine decided to kick the bucket after a blown radiator (all in the same day — RIP 😔).

I’m on the hunt for a 2.5L STI or WRX engine that’ll fit my car.(with no knowledge of what should) I’m open to either buying a complete engine or piecing one together from parts if needed.

I’m lucky to have my good buddy Joe helping with a large part of the work, but I’m trying to source some parts myself to get things moving.

After all, this car is my favorite "kid," and I’m not about to leave her sick for long. 🚗❤️

Very Very little is salvageable, I done a fine job to it hahaha - It happens, I am not too worried now just moving forward to figure out a plan!

Thanks @JohnRA - Also it happened in February, so its taking me a while to get to this point of a breakup :)

May as well upgrade tho and just rebuild what you have with a forged kit and your laughing 👌😁
 
They do say the 2.5 is absolutely bomb proof when forged, but if you wanted a cheap way out, I'm pretty sure you could pick up a used engine somewhere.. But then your stuck with the same risks again.
Your best bet is something new, as Barry said, new Subaru block and your own heads, or forged build, or something along those lines.
