Just wondered did subaru make a 1.6 wagon awd with hi/lo ratio in a 2001 model??(bug eye) I have never come across one but someone was telling me off one recently.

They did as far as i remember but subaru ireland said the wagon was unsellable on the irish market so was only available in the uk. As far as I remember it came in 1.6 and 2.0 non turbo.

Think the Autos may have had the hi/lo option , the new hatch 2.0 r came with this 2 so its not beyond possibility

it has come from uk alright, but thought 1.6 was just 2wd untill later models, and wagon with hi/lo was 2L. interesting if so then, rare as hens teeth here then!!

yeah your right but this is 01, think 05 or so they became 4wd but not sure if they had Hi / lo think it was just the 2L wagons.

from 2001 on all irish/uk 1.6 where awd. Only front wheel drive option was on 1.5 and 1.6 jdm models.
