2001 STI Boot light not working

Boot light not working in my 01 STi Impreza. I've done the obvious thing and changed the bulb and still not working any ideas where I should go next?!

never thought of the bloody fuse. Is there a seperate fuse for it because everything else is working. trying to locate switch haven't had much luck.

My switch was a bit gammy so bit of wd40 sorted it

The switch is by the locking mechanism on the bottom of the boot on the sill not on the lid, its just a plunger they get dirt and crap in em.Give it a clean.

I found it alright and it seemed to move freely enough but will try give it a clean. Would the boot light have a seperate fuse?

I can only see a fuse for the interior light and clock in the book fuse 12,15A so if there ok you should be fine. Next thing would be to get a voltmeter and try to mesure at the bulb.

All fuses fine, must try get my hands on a voltmeter. Would it make any difference that the open door symbol/light on the dash does not light up when boot opens
