Ok lads,

Ive been looking at getting my hands on one of these for a few weeks now and looks likely Ill be making the plunge this weekend.

Can anyone give me a few bits of info about these?

MPG?
Things to look out for
What goes wrong and how to spot it?

Etc..etc..

Just want something to keep me occupied until the other leggy is finished and I get my hands on another sti wagon

2.5 NA engines sold on the US market had issues with the head gaskets failing prematurely- subaru even came out with a cooling system conditioner as a preventative maintenance. Do not have a clue if it applies to other markets as well

there is usually a problem with most american made Suabru's! they just aren't made to the same quality as jap ones.

I think most of the suspension is the same as the Legacy's in that case the bushings on the front lower wishbones are a weak point and should be replaced if you get vibration feedback under braking.

i think that us foresters and imprezas are made in japan. they also had that 2.5l NA engine as base spec...like i said have not heard about that issue with european cars and i am not sure wether this exact engine was sold in europe...
