Howaye lads,
My manager is looking for the above to trade in against his 04.
Hes been looking at the C180 Kompressor Petrol as he already has an 04 of this and likes the poke for the
motorways in France where he holidays alot but costing a bomb on tax with co2 emissions for a 2008!!
I persuaded him to look at the E220 CDI and C220 CDI as they have nice bita poke and with loadsa
torque make them decent off the mark but there aint a great deal out there for sale TBH!!
The C220 CDI Blueeffecieny is the same story, cannot find one in Ireland...Ideally hes looking for Trade in and would travel for the right one!!
He does'nt do alot of miles at the best of times but when he heads away he'd do a good 2,000 miles maybe 3 times per year hence why i recommended the diesel!!
Any other recommendations you would have and Any ideas of places up the north that he could have a gander at??
Anyone bought a Merc recently and/or know anyone in Merc dealership that he could give some business to??

the 220 cdi engine is not as good as people might think....
yeah..loads of torque and poke but have a lot of problems namely injectors ....
only my 2 pence worth but have previous experience on them..
dont know how many i've been called to with AA.. :dontknow:
beautiful cars all the same but over-rated IMO..

lexus is220d or 250 petrol....
i would of bought one when i bought the volvo but got a far better deal with the s40...
personally wouldnt buy a volvo either in future..well not the s40.

Heard good things about the lexus alright!!!

Even with little mileage usage would you still not rate the C220??

Was it a case of high miles with the others???

He had a maxima before the c180 and was the best car he ever owned he says but cant get them anymore :dontknow:
