2010 SUBARU LEGACY B4

I don't think 280bhp is enough to class it has a performance saloon nowadays...a 335 bmw is putting out 300+..the new vectra 4x4 turbo has 321..they all top it with co2 and fuel economy..the game has moved on and I'm afraid subaru have been left behind in this market segment..offering the same performance in the same model that was available 10 years ago.doomed to failure IMO.

i think i might invest in one of them for the family car trade in me passat against it
be a nice machine once the boot is big enough :subaru: :subaru: :subaru:

ya its not good enough anymore,

arse end reminds me of avensis , saab

one for the older generation me thinks !!

Im not convinced its goin to work.... It looks too VIP for my liking....
Like its more a car to be driven in than a car ya want to drive yourself...

Lookin forward to gettin to see it in the flesh to be honest..... Hopefully that would change my mind

0-60 in 5seconds is perfectly acceptable for an executive saloon-and you have to remember the price of german rivals. Back in 2001 an Audi S8 was itro 85k+ new-now theyre selling for 10k. New impreza or new legacy-I know what id buy.

i like it wait till i see the estate version looks like .nobody liked the new impreza either and it's starting to grow on people now well me anyway .

Couple of points here about the performance, the eagle eyed amongst us here would have noticed that the car in the link is in fact an automatic,281hp out of AT is quite respectable, the old b4 auto was 256hp.Now if Subaru decide to offer a 5/6 speed manual box (and why wouldnt they?),then the power is likely to be well in the 310hp range (a 2.5ltr UK sti is 320 i think?),and that would be plenty of horsies under the bonnet. It would also be cheaper than the said bmw's audi's of this world ^ that is really subaru's niche,we'd all go out & buy 110k's worth of m3 if we could.

The BL Legacy's are 280 in Auto. The reason the BE was restricted(smaller turbo's less boost) was specifically because of the gearbox and the stress the torque was putting on it you don't lose power through an auto gearbox. No reason to think the maunal and auto would be any different. UK STI's are 295 standard and run a different turbo.

its out in US, and im NOT liking it, ill wait until the i see the Jap version
