I'd absolutely love it to be honest, and I actually do need to buy a car ASAP as my own yoke gave up,,,, but fuckit I don't have the budget for it man. Disaster. Was gonna try get into one next year but was hoping the oul Golf would stay going til next year lol

Can i pick your brain as someone who just brought a car in. Did you avoid paying duty because the car was manufactured in japan? If so what paperwork do you need to present?

Hi paul,

Yes,no duty.just 23% vat.

I normally send invoice,export cert ,translation of export cert and bill of lading to customs agent.its normally enough.

I find jerry at carclear.ie to be one of the better customs agents.
