having seen both is the type r not the better car?i know a 22b owner who thinks his ver 5 sti R was better

The type r will devalue down to nothing over time but the 22b will hold its price as they will only get rarer.

im not talking about value,im saying that this lad owns a 22b and he says the type r is superior to it....

at xpro- go for it,you know you wanna :subaru:

Sweet motor, very clean.

The Type-Rs ver 5 and 6 are better on the track, have better handling abilities and are simply quicker..
but 22b is all about the look. The wide arches do the job. It's an unicorn.

So the Type R is better than a 22B. Why not get a wide arch kit for a Type R then. Hmmmmm

Hello Gary,

What you talking about "Willis" MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm ...... :ponder2:

The 22B is Sweet......

Cheers,

Michael

Im just suprised that people are saying the type r is better than a 22B. Thought the 22B was the ultimate impreza

Hello Gary,

Picked you up wrong.... :wall:

I'd love a 22B over the type-R any day :subaru: :653: :subaru:

Cheers,

Michael

It just doesn't offer enough it terms of performance imo..if its going to be the be ultimate impreza it had to be able to offer an experience you cant get in another impreza...look at the other jap manufactures offer in their ultimate cars..The NUR spec skyline 550bhp..the EVO 6 TME RS 450bhp..Subaru had the rally knowledge and technology to make a supercar slayer and they didn't do it..with such a small run of numbers they could of got around the the gentlemans agreement of 280ps...even madza made the bathhurst type r which was lighter and had 30 bhp over the standard rx7

is it worth it.. at 22k sterling.. no.. but I want it... it's based on the v3 type r think that where the comparisons with the type r come in as the had a version 4 and 5 and a 6 I think but could be wrong on that. any as one of the other lads said it the holy grail of Subaru's for me anyway. If my lotto numbers come up I'll be buying one thats for sure

Exactly! :subaru:

To own a future rare classic... it would be worth it. But, it is slower than a Type r... marginally! And the handling came under question when compared to a Type R. I'd love it.... but couldn't bring myself to buy it unless I won the lotto! To buy it as a future classic and retain it's value you'd almost feel bad driving it and worry bout the wear and tear etc... IMO!

Absolutly love em and ultimate Scoob due to looks and rarity!!! :icon_pray:
