Just had to post it up! B e a utiful! :subaru:

One of the scoobyireland lads own it I think!

It was posted up by another member!

The ultimate Impreza.

Has anybody read the thread over on scoobynet about the guy that owns 2 22bs and doesnt drive them. He has them covered with an air-conditioned bubble dome. He has OCD or something. He got some bashing from members there. Im trying to find the link.....

Such a nice car, pity about the engine being so soft on them

I would definatly have one in my dream garage

@ smokey:
Soft engine :ponder: :ponder:
What do you mean??
Alot of people think that scoobies have soft engines! But if 1: maintained properly, 2:run on appropriate ron rated fuel and 3:mapped for any engine mods modifications then you'll never have a problem!
How many lads on here have posted up " My engines dead " that have followed the 3 important rule of scooby ownership!
Dan

smokey is an evo driver I think so of course he is going to say something bad about a scooby.

Lads i'm on about the 22B engine being based on the sti 3 engine, with the open deck block, and so well know for being a soft engine for piston 3 at about 40,000 miles, nothing to do with subaru engines being soft, evo engines blow aswell lads

it's just known that the 22b engine is soft, which is the only let down for the car

Its a shame that due to some people buyin Subaru's and not learning anything about them, Thrashing them without mapping etc and ultimately blowing engine's, Giving Subaru's a bad name.

Half the mechanics ive talked to have said the engines blow and you have to change the heads on a jap car in order to get correct compression ratio so you dont blow them.
Nonsense obviously.

I was talking to a Latvian bloke on friday who drives a 1.8 turbo golf GTI, he was admiring my car. Yet one of the first things he said was Subaru's have weak engines. I did my best with the language barrier to explain this was not true.

He thinks his car is pretty much as fast as a subaru in a straight line. I might bring him for a spin on monday and Scare some sense into him :D

1 of the reasons i first thought about getting a scooby was their engines were virtually bulletproof if looked after

Any engine well maintained will last the test of time

Beautiful cars those 22B's
Really would love 1. Id want a garage to keep it in though. Its nice to see such mint cars being kept like that as you do see so many abused examples.

still though, you want to be able to use the car aswell, great to see the tidy examples, but some are not used, which is such a waste

@ Matt:
It's one thing keeping the cars well! But the lad who own's those never drives them!
He just keeps them in a bubble with DO NOT TOUCH on them
OH I'd touch them alright :headbanger:
Dan

Good man Dan
Bit of a waste that is.
If i was lucky enough to own 1 id drive it alright :D
And if like him i was lucky enough to own 2, then maybe id keep 1 under wraps just for drooling over.
