wow man a 22b type uk now that is a rare one alright.. niall on here should be able to pointyou in the right direction on where to get parts(if they can be got) as he has one and knows everything about them

2 front wings - best buying carbon/GRP.... as OEM no longer available
front bumper - as above
rhs rear quarter - Can you repair it as you'll never get a replacement one.
alloy bonnet - Same as Type R
crystal headlamps and side lamps - Same as Type R
driving spot lamps and cover for the type uk - I think lamps are the same as Type R... covers best buying GRP replica ones with bumper
indecators that are in the front bumper - Same as all early Imprezas
the sti titanium wing badges - No longer available... trawl eBay for 2nd hand
and the cover for brake light on the rear spoiler. - God knows

You need to find someone with a crashed/damaged car... but I doubt there are many out there and if there are... you can be sure the parts have shifted quick. No one will sell you just the spoiler brake light cover if you find one.. they'll be looking to sell the whole spoiler which would be bloody pricey.

What you'll have at the end of all this grief and money is an accident damaged car that has been repaired with none OEM panels and worth very little to a collector or enthusiast. Now if you intend on keeping of your own pleasures then fair enough... but would you ever really be happy owning a rare ltd. edition car that was so un-original?

You'd be better breaking that car of whatever is left on it that is undamaged as you will get a premium for the parts and would be then able to reinvest the money into a clean Type R or Ltd Edition Newage.

As above but even as above. It looks like a 5-7k parts list plus putting them on and getting it painted for another 3k . But best of luck with it would love 1 some day

i no what you are saying here bout it been not worth as much and all the rest but i do plan to fix it back to as good as it was let that be with fiber glass wings and bumper or with orignal parts because i do believe there would be bits somewhere if ya could just get my hands on them..

but even so a rare item like a 22b will be valuabe somtime and because they will only get rarer as the years go on and i couldn bring myself to break this car as its totally immaculate underneath and inside ther is only 16000 miles on this car and in my opinion it would be a sin to break it but i could be wrong

Plus in UK that would be a cat c insurance write off at the very least...the only real market to sell it back into and it will throw up a serious black flag for anyone running a hpi check..fixed with original parts or not

I helped in the reconstruction of 22B in Poland, was not the case. The reconstruction lasted three years, it's hard to get the little things such as badges, side hard to find, rear badge "22B" created by the company, the original was stolen (two times :(). Good luck, and where are the pictures?

Yes i do hear what you r all saying but i still think the car is worth savin apart from the damage it is immaculate underneath inside i think in my opinion..

Look any advice or opinion say it as im new to the scooby scene and love to hear people that no what they are talkin about

Cheers

handbagsIf you got it at the right price then it's worth it, if then it's fixed right its worth it

There's mk1/ mk2 escorts out there that have had major work done on there bodies for rust and there worth alot
Can't see why it would be any different here

Your major problem is getting the parts, if you can get them happy days, I can't see them been cheap but there out there.

Start we getting intouch with niall22b and then the 22b club. Someone will know someone.

How many 22b are left
How many of them are totally original
And by original I mean never been modified in any way and never been damaged
I'd say you've a short list now
These few cars will always be worth top wack
The rest of them in any condition have a valu a lot higher than any other road going Impreza
If fixed correctly with all the right parts this will be a very desirable car
How many Subaru fans do you know that don't want one someday ??

have to agree with Duffman there.. Its worth saving if you can do it. A mint 22b type uk would be making unreal money. Last one I seen for sale was last year for I think 30k sterling

i think it would be a sin to scrap it, from the sounds of it its not much of a smack, if it was it would need front panel and valences etc...
once its repaired properly with a fresh coat of paint it will all be worth it.

Not a hope in hell I'd scrap it deffo worth fixing by the sounds of it but I'd say it's going to cost a packet to fix
Best of luck with it and please please get some pics up
Cheers
Keith
