3.2 lwb Pajero

Petrolheads
Well lads, anyone got much experience with a 2005 3.2 Pajero lwb commercial. I've been offered on as px on the legacy, and I'm interested. 70,000 miles on the clock. Anything to look out for?

Also any good diesel mechanics in the dublin area that could look over this for me if all goes ahead

Father had one of these new in 2007 , sold it 7 months later , wasnt impressed by it one bit , dont know if the 05 model is the same ,

Unless you are actually wanting a jeep, i would want it in very cheap.. you dont know what way things are going with comercial tax if you are not registered

as brian said, they give clutch and flywheel problems.
done one on the day before christmas eve and work out pricey to do!!!
havent really heard any owners say good things bout them.cant really beat the toyotas!!

I do have a registered business from when I was a courier, had a vat number from then too so might be alright when it comes to the tax, I'm movin to Monasterevin in kildare and work in Citywest and then I'm on the road all day so there's no way I could afford to juice up the leggy that much, or put that much mileage up on her

I hear ya lads, I'd love a hilux, just cant get that swap or px that I need! And no sign of a straight sale of my own machine!

What kinda money ya talkin for that job marko

I would rather be horseing juice into the legacy than into a Jeep, fook they are thirsty, i had a Dmax b4 and i got rid of it for something lighter, a 380bhp v5 Type R :icon_biggrin:

Work out the economy of 1 before ya take the Px Dave!
Drove 1 in an old job for a short while!!!! Slightly older model! But the molars from a tank was brutal altogether!
I'd say my impreza is cheaper to run in all seriousness!
Think I was gettin 300 - 350 miles out of a full tank!
That isn't alot of driving either!!!!

Fook me, thats rotten mileage. I'm gettin 500 odd klms for 70 euro in the leggy!! I've been looking and the 3.2 seems to get around 30 mpg, I'd be a lot of motorway driving too, wonder would that make a difference

As KENC and Hammie said.. the mpg on jeeps are very bad. When the snow came I had to park up my van and get a loan of 93 2.5 pajaro. I put €142 in it in 6 days and that was all driving in a 20 mile radious but without it I'd not be able to do any work. You could be going from the frying pan into the fire changing. I'd say the best out of any of them jeeps is in the high 20's mpg wise

They wont like motorway as that range of jeeps are geared low, and they will be roaring doing 70mph.

all my mileage was was motorway mileage Dave.......

Not comfortable at much more than 110kkmh as it starts getting noisy and wants to deafen you!!!!
passing trucks can be fun as they tend to want to get sucked in by the passing draft of the truck!!!!

3.2 are completely different to 2.8. 80 quid to fill and i get 600 odd miles to that. At 120kmh the engine revs sit at 2000rpm....not screaming whatsoever.

Had a 2.8 turbo lwb it was a 93 not to bad on juice but put 2 heads on it 1500 a pop broke me heart never again land cruiser all the way

Are you sure you have your figures correct there Brian :ponder2:, they way i have roughly worked that out it means your jeep is doing 46 mpg!!!! :ponder2: passats and a4s arent getting that good of mileage

I know the Isuzu Dmax are probably one of heaviest on juice but id say mine was only doing around 20-22 mpg max
