Anyone knows where in Ireland to buy a 3 port solenoid (prodrive preferably) ? The problem is I would need it before Wednesday or Thursday, as going to fit it before mapping with Simon!

Talk to Simon - maybe he will have something with him, even if not prodrive.
Old Denso should be also fine.

Froggy has loads of factory Subaru 3 port solenoids (Denso),

they are perfect for an EcuTek map when your using the factory boost control system

Good timing Phil :D
I just got a pm from Froggy, with a very good offer
the only thing is I'd rather want to buy a brand new one, rather than second hand to avoid any problems . How'd ya think?

I think I haven't heard of many broken solenoids. It's rather relatively simple construction.
What you can do anyway if you get Denso - you can clean it with a brake cleaner. And should be fine.

It's upto you man but new Subaru 3 ports aren't cheap and as above they don't give trouble too often. if your on a short schedule then I'd get the one off froggy

As above,
If you can find one brand new and you can afford it, then fire away,
If not, Froggy's your man!

Just received the 3 port from Froggy

I gave it a quick look and the plug seems to be different than in my Type-R? :ponder2: It's round one in the 3 port denso.. and as far as I remember there is a square one in classic?

Too much hassle :icon_nana:

only joking ;)

I'm just surprised its not plug n play :icon_rolleyes:
