Anyone know anything bout this blob?

I could b wrong buy I thought blobs only started in 03 so is it bugeye with blob front conversion?
 
I have an UK 02 Blob that came from the uk in november of 02. It was registered at the end of the year so there are some about. Ask if is a uk car originally. I think it is just to do with when it was registered here.
 
I'm wrong as usual :booboo:, U learn something new everyday, don't know car R dealer martin
 
It's a WRX with STi add ons. It looks good but I'd be careful if it is a facelift conversion as you have to make sure it wasn't carried out after crash damage.
 
Thanks lads. I rang earlier. Sales man says its a wrx with all sti bits... How would I know for sure? Chassis number maybe? And it was a uk import at some stage....

if it a wrx then someone has gone to unreal effort to make it look like an sti.. brembos, blue carpet steering wheel, 6 speed box seats etc.I'd be saying sti all the way but if you do a motorcheck on it it comes back as a wrx.. very strange.. pity there is no engine picture
 
Never mind Cartell etc, they only go by what someone submitted on the form when the car was imported. Plenty imported as lesser cars to pay lower VRT. Get the VIN and Engine numbers and check them and then you'll know for sure - could be a bargain there.

ya very true.. can't see someone spending that on an wrx to make an sti out of it. lots of people changing tax books for insurance tax etc on cars so you don't know what messing was going on
 
Weird!! I really thought myself it was an sti when I saw it first. But he says it's a wrx. Maybe he is going by the log book, which could say wrx if it was imported as a wrx for lesser Vrt etc.... So what's the bulletin proof way of knowing to put this to bed?

It has 4 pots on the front does it not??

Is say it has 6 speed conversion and I don't think there Sti dash clocks either , pretty sure there wrx clocks but I could be wrong,

Go look at it. Y'all know then, guys a lot cars in stock, wouldn't say a fool by any means either it , if it was an sti he would advertise so, cause be worth more, he's saying its a wrx with sti extras, sounds like he done his homework
 
I agree. Has to be a wrx... He ain't a fool! Problem is I'm down in limerick, and my mate is near the Kerry border. And we're working all week! Won't get up till at least the weekend. I'f it's clean as it looks it'll be gone then!
 
Get him to send ya a couple more photos. Worth a shot. I'd say a wrx if it was an sti at that money I'd be afraid of what was like.
 
Sitting a bit high for an sti and ya does look like 4 pots on the front.
 
looks like brembos on front but colour just faded a little :dontknow:

the only thing that gives this away as a wrx is the dash clocks
